Job Title: Cleaner
Employment Status: Part Time
Employment Type: Temporary – Three months with potential to full time after probation.
Hours of work
21 hrs per week in the mornings. Timing is flexible to a degree, and can be discussed in the interview. Saturday and Sunday shifts may be required dependent on bookings.
Job Description & Duties:
New Life Church is seeking a friendly professional cleaner with an eye for details to join our team. You will be responsible for cleaning The Ridgeway Centre to a very high standard. Main Duties would include:

Daily disposal of waste/rubbish into the bin cupboard outside

Daily cleaning of corridors, landings, stairways and communal areas

Daily cleaning of halls, meeting rooms, office, lounges and communal areas as directed

Cleaning all sinks, toilets, mirrors and floors in every toilet. Replenishing toilet rolls, paper towels and soap when necessary
-
Mopping/hoovering/spot cleaning all floors, including halls, meeting rooms, the lift, offices, lounges, toilets and communal areas
-
Deep cleans on a monthly basis including kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens. Training will be given.

Cleaning of windows and walls

Occasionally help set up and set down of rooms

Reporting damage, breakages or any other related problems to the Centre Manager

Ensuring that equipment and cleaning materials are used responsibly and in compliance with College risk assessment and COSHH regulation

Qualifications:
COSHH Training - Desirable but not essential
Experience and Knowledge Required:
-
Previous experience in cleaning role (desirable)

Good time keeping and reliability

Positive and friendly personality combined with trustworthiness.

Must have an eye for detail

Able to undertake physical work in all weathers, including the ability to carry out lifting

Understanding of health and safety, with the ability to understand how to work in a safe manner

Capable of working with minimum supervision

Work as a team player and pass on knowledge to others

Flexible and willing

Sufficient English to understand direction and instruction
